HARLEY LIPPMAN

A love that only grows

Harley finds parallels between the Holocaust in Europe and genocides around the globe having led Harley to support local children in Cambodia, when more than two million lives were lost by the Khmer Rouge, under the leadership of Pol Pot.

Bright Minds NGO

After over a decade of supporting Cambodian orphans in Siem Reap, in 2015, Marie and Harley Lippman created the NGO, Bright Minds building a center near Phnom Penh that is home to 10 boys and 10 girls ranging from five years- old to 18 years-old. Some of the children are orphaned or have only one family member. Alongside the education they receive at the village schools, the children receive supplemental English and Computer classes at Bright Minds. The children live in two dormitories and are free to study and contemplate in safety in their library, computer room or outside in their garden which has a river where they fish. After the children complete high school, Bright Minds funds their college education in whatever subject they desire a career in.

Empowering Through

Education

Since 2018, Marie and Harley Lippman have supported The Association of Cambodia Child First (ACCF) in Siem Reap. Started by former Bright Minds children, ACCF offers supplementary education to children in Siem Reap so that the children of Siem Reap have a better chance of earning an income in the thriving Siem Reap tourism industry and beyond.

ACCF has over 5 full-time teachers and supports over 500 children monthly. The ACCF offers support for local needs, communal meals along with providing books, school clothing and offering educational classes in English and Chinese.
